How do we measure GEO performance?

Pied Piper's approach to fixed questions, brand mentions, source citations and search traffic.

Written and reviewed by Dream Furnace · 2026-11-03

Which outcomes are distinct?

Accessibility, indexing, AI citations, brand mentions, visits and enquiries are separate events. One metric cannot stand in for another.

How are before and after compared?

We preserve questions, engines, language, location, timestamps and raw responses. Publication and content changes are recorded. An observational difference is not proof of a causal effect.

Are failed responses counted as zero?

No. Failures and missing observations are separate from valid answers with no citations. Rates show their valid sample size.

How is external distribution evaluated?

Reviewed content is published on relevant permitted channels. Actual URLs and publication times are recorded; later exact-URL citations are tracked without attributing unrelated pages to our post.

Does this dashboard show actual results?

No. The image uses synthetic data to explain the interface. It is not a customer case study. Illustrations and measured evidence are stored separately.

What is needed to get started?

An official website, verified brand information, customer questions and a content reviewer. Authorized search and analytics access enables traffic and conversion analysis. We do not invent reviews or credentials.
